My name is Jon Clausen, and aviation has been both my passion and my profession for nearly two decades. I began my journey in 2006 and earned my private pilot license in 2008. Since then, I’ve worked to master the skies and share my knowledge with aspiring pilots.
From 2005 to 2011, I served as a UH-60 Blackhawk mechanic in the Georgia Army National Guard, developing a deep technical understanding of aircraft systems and the importance of precision in aviation maintenance. I earned my commercial pilot certification for single and multi-engine aircraft, along with an instrument rating, in 2010. Most recently, in 2023, I achieved certification as a flight instructor and advanced and instrument ground instructor ratings. These qualifications allow me to guide others toward achieving their aviation goals.
In addition to flying, I’m also a certified light sport mechanic. My combined expertise as a pilot and mechanic ensures the highest levels of safety and reliability in every flight.
Beyond aviation, I serve as a Captain in the Reserves, continuing my dedication to service. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity, which reflects my passion for technology and problem-solving.
When I’m not in the air or in the classroom, I enjoy spending quality time with my wonderful wife and our three beautiful children. Aviation has given me so much, and I’m passionate about helping others take flight and achieve their dreams. Whether you're just starting your journey or looking to advance your skills, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
